Welcome to you all from Abstract Aerial Art.

On a number of occasions, we have been asked what equipment is used to capture our images and record the adventures along the way.

The photograph below shows the majority of the gear we use:

Abstract Aerial Art Equipment

Aerial Photography

To capture our aerial photographs we currently use 2 different drones:

DJI Inspire 1 Pro
DJI Phantom 4 Pro

They each have advantages and disadvantages, but what they both do is truly amazing, and without them, we couldn’t exist as a business!

For those of you who have never seen a drone, the images below show a close up of what we currently use…and yes, we have named one of them after a famous abstract artist!

DJI Inspire 1 Pro – Pablo

DJI Phantom 4 Pro – Pedro

Photography

For everything else, (the more conventional photography and the video clips that will be featured on this blog) we use:

Canon 5D Mark II
GoPro Hero 4
GoPro Hero 5
2 Apple iPads
2 Apple iPhones

Post Processing

For editing all the media we capture, we are using:

MacBook Pro
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Lightroom
Final Cut Pro

Hopefully, this has given you an insight into what equipment we use. If you have any questions regarding the equipment mentioned or shown above, please leave your comments in the section below.

Since returning from Australia, we have been doing spontaneous trips around the UK adding to our gallery of aerial images. The rest of our time has been focused on turning what started out as something to do on our travels around the Australian wilderness, into what is now our business and our passion.

Moving forward, we shall be using the blog to bring you our latest news and show you the stories and adventures behind Abstract Aerial Art. If they’re half as interesting as our recent trip around Australia, then you’re in for a treat!!

We look forward to going into the unknown with you and please check our blog soon for regular updates 🙂
